Research
Members of the Institute carry out research in a broad range of areas of astrophysics, including the detection and characterization of exosolar planets, the formation of planets, the formation of stars, the formation and evolution of galaxies, the intergalactic medium, large scale structure in the Universe, and the nature of dark matter and dark energy. The research also involves different approaches, including theory, observation, numerical simulation and technical development.
